Pastor Dan Larsen was born October 10, 1986 in Hollywood, Florida. He was baptized and confirmed in St Mark's Lutheran Church in Hollywood, Florida.  He studied engineering at University of Florida and graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Engineering.
After he began theological studies at Concordia Seminary in St Louis, Missouri, Dan fell in love with Stacy Lessman of Wood Lake, Minnesota. After she graduated from Concordia University in St Paul in 2005 with a Bachelor in Early Childhood Education, Stacy had taken a call to teach preschool at St Mark's Lutheran School in Hollywood, Florida. It was there that she met Dan, and the two were married on June 18, 2011.

Stacy accompanied Dan to his last year of seminary, and he graduated with a Master of Divinity degree on May 18, 2012. He was ordained on July 1, 2012 and installed as pastor of Bethany and Trinity Lutheran Churches in Wabasso and Sanborn, Minnesota on July 8, 2012. That call later became a tri-parish, incorporating Zion Lutheran Church in Springfield, MN in the summer of 2019. His next call was to serve here at St Paul's, where he was installed on October 24, 2021.
Pastor and Stacy have three children: Timothy Kurt Larsen, born October 4, 2012; Theodore Jay Larsen, born February 23, 2015; and Natalie Carol Larsen, born February 21, 2018.
